The Bauhaus movement and the art of Francis Bacon and Gary Hume influenced the outcome of my Honours Degree in 2000 in which I obtained the top grades of the year for the proposal to create perspective and movement without the outline of the artistic object by using bright plain colours, elements of lines and isolated forms, resulting in the technical expression of my ‘Innovative Painting Manifesto’.

The subject of my paintings were self-portraits, which was the first time I had the courage to show my queer side openly and to touch on the theme of diversity by questioning the physical body of Adam and Eve. As a consequence, I was selected to present my Honours Degree work at Art Biennale Athens 2000, where my exhibited collection received much acclaim and led to all my artwork being sold.
