This work was commissioned for the art festival Art Bac! II Edition at CCCB, Barcelona. It marked Dimitris’ first exploration of large-scale painting as a means of interrogating the dynamics of a bottom-up perspective. Labour’s Tree is a sardonic self-portrait, produced while Dimitris was working as an extra and queer model to support his creative practice.
